Alright, I guess ill do some Dubstep.

Originated from a mix of “DUB” and “Drum and Bass” the all to famous Dubstep was created. It started in the late 90’s in South London, and contrary to popular belief it was actually very VERY underground, names like Mary Ann Hobbs, Dygital Mystiks, Kode9, Horsepower Productions and surprisingly Mt. Eden Dubstep were names that almost started the genre. Though today many think of Skrillex when they think of dubstep, which again i find quite funny, Skrillex is not actually dubstep O.o Skrillex specifically said in an interview “alotta people are calling my music dubstep, I think thats funny. But it is was what the crowd wants it to be.” Skrillex is actually Electro-Dub. Although he has thrown the Dubstep around abit. Dubstep did not become popular or “Mainstream” till about 2007 when Brittney Spears actually added dubsteps as a theme to her song.  After a couple of other really unlooked at remixes by names such as Skream, and Nero. Skrillex came for the swoop to start the fascination with the underground world of Dubstep with the songs ” Cinema – benny benassi skrillex remix” and “Scary Monsters Nice Sprites” artist of dubstep today include, Nero, Skream, Flux Pavilion, Datsik & Excision, Skrillex, DotExe, Mt. Eden, Krewella, Subliminal Substance, ZomBoy, Omnitica, and KnifeParty.

House Music.!!

So i figured why not start big.?? House music is a sub genre of Electronic dance music, it orignated in what do you know, AMERICA.!!! This genre was started in the late 80’s with music like “Doctrin the house”  by Coldcut and “Feels Good (Carrots and Beats)” This music is pretty much the deffinition of club music because of its feeling to just want to straight up dance.!!! It was influenced by a couple techno songs that added more a drum beat and tons more synth, Examples are like Gigornio Morodor’s “I Feel Love” and Cerrone’s Supernature “Yellow Magic Orchestra”

House also had an influence of relaying political messages to people who were considered to be outcasts of society. It appealed to those who didn’t fit into mainstream American society and was especially celebrated by many black males. Frankie Knuckles made a good comparison of house saying it was like “church for people who have fallen from grace” and Marshall Jefferson compared it to “old-time religion in the way that people just get happy and screamin'”. Deep house was similar to many of the messages of freedom for the black community. – wiki

Personally house music is one, if not the, best kind of electronic genres in my opinion. Artist in todays generation are Avicii , Swedish House Mafia, Alesso, Klaypex( Mainly known for there dubstep ) Nero, Hardwell, David Guetta, Tiesto, Deadmau5,  Afrojack, Armin van Buuren etc. etc. Give it a looksie.!!!

“Computers and electronic music are not the opposite of the warm human music. It’s exactly the same. ”
– Bill Laswell.

Electric music is not based off of just noise, as Laswell says, it is warmth, a glowing feeling inside. not just dance, but a love to it, a bounce in your stomach and a smile from your ears. its not just music, its whatever your body tells you it is.

“Computers and …

Promises by Nero

Nero shows a more beautifull side to electro in his song “Promises” not all electronic music is dubstep, in fact most arent nearly as crazy and more calm and relaxing. Nero or Daniel Stephens and Joseph Ray with Alana Watson’s first album was a three part dubstep album and have progressively gotten better and better as proven on this song.! this, along with a few others, actually introduced the idea of making my own music. ENJOY.!!! like, comment, or follow. as much would be appreciated.!

Dubstep at its full potential.

Unlike the popular skrillex, more dubstep has a kind of darker feel. Excision is probably one of the most well known dubstep producers in this generation. the drop (the chorus per say to an electronic song) is intense, and for the next 10 minutes after listening to this song you will not be able to feel yer mind.! give it a listen.!:D
